Again I can't thank you enough for your support...:bows::bows::salute:

Thomas is doing well and him and I are off later today (Tues) for his weekly chemo treatments in Dallas. Since Dallas traffic is...well...horrific...we will go on Tuesday afternoons and stay at the Ronald McDonald House. His weekly treatments will be on Wednesday.

I can't tell you how much it means for our family to have so much support thown behind Thomas and all of us. I owe a debt I'll never be able to repay.:salute:

Been busy cleaning this house to within and inch of its life. I thought the house was pretty clean until we starting this type of cleaning....yikes!! But once we get this initial cleaning done it will hopefully be easier to maintain. Our new life is lots of Lysol and Handbatizer (Thomas' word for hand sanitizer)...

Over the past few weeks I've also been neck deep in a project at the Longview High School pool where our kids swim on a private team. The whole deck was covered in an indoor / outdoor carpet about 20 years ago...who decided that was a good idea I'll never figure out....It was full of mold and fungus and just nasty. The school has of coarse redone the football stadium turf 3 times since we've moved here in 2006 at costs of millions of dollars...but they couldn't take care of the pool....so me, Kristen and some other assorted helpers.....mainly me, Kristen and a friend Keith....were tackling getting a thick layer of carpet glue and three layers of paint off the deck. Not an easy task. We couldn't use anything chemical based per school rules...so what ended up working was a very high pressure washer and a particular nozzle....3000 sq/ft of deck an inch at a time....Well I had to abandon them of coarse when Thomas got sick...and work slowed to a snails pace...Keith finally got some people together and they got everything done and the first coat of epoxy paint on last Friday. We got home from the hosp. on Friday and while Kris and Thomas slept on Sat. I snuck out early early to help with the final coat. Got that done and tonight I went over and cleaned all the lane lines, did a thorough clean up of anywhere and everywhere and cleaned off the deck with a pressure washer....tomorrow the head athletic honcho director should go in ...look at the place and hopefully like what he sees.
My motivation to get it done is Samantha will be swimming up at the Univ. of Arkasas Little Rock at a meet in Nov. She would like to go to school there (Criminology) and swim for them. We went up there in mid Aug. for a visit and met everyone on the school side and the coach. The coach wants to fly her up sometime for an 'official visit' and has said Sam can most definately swim for them. So Sam needs to be in the pool right now so she can swim well in Nov. Wish her luck....:praying::praying:

So as usual things here are busy busy...I spent most of the day before going to the pool in my office catching up on stuff.
Cookie...you should be recieving a couple of packages by the end of the week so be on the lookout!!

What is it they say...."no rest for the weary"??....:nixweiss::laugh:

Well its time to go to bed....but first I'll make a quick comment about what I know has gone on with TOS.
First I'm greatful to the people who have taken the time to offer up prayers and support. I know I still have good friends over there and I appreciate each and every one of them.
As for the management. I went thru my period of all the emotions that go with tilting at the windmill and everything that goes with finally getting banned. I guess at the end of the day you just have to ask is it worth you getting upset about? Sometimes it is and sometimes not. I'm honestly not going to loose one bit of sleep or give two rats craps if the owner of TOS cares about me or Thomas. There just isn't enough time in my day to care about him. I think I can say with certainty that if I found out if he was sick or someone in his family I would feel bad for them and offer up a prayer....but that isn't here nor there.....I do appreciate all of you having my back on all of this....but please don't upset yourselves too much over it....for me I'd rather you take that time and go hug someone in your family and think positive thoughts....:beers:

Wow, not sure I have seen Norman quite this slow. Haven't seen a decent fish in the last 3 trips to the lake. I went way up river this last trip and got a few small fish on a jig, but not many.

Found a few schooling fish on top water, but that is so hit and miss. It is going to be tough this coming weekend.

Kind of frustrating, and surprising. Didn't actively solicit anything just responded to a request.

But I guess this story line is getting to be old news.

Just found Bass Boat Talk and have been spending a lot of time reading past posts. I just picked up a 2005 Stratos 285 Pro XL with a really low hours Merc Optimax 150. The boat is fully loaded and is wearing a Detwiler 6" All-In-One hydraulic jack plate. The chap that owned the boat was running a Tempest Plus 23 pitch and I was wondering if this is the correct choice of props for this rig.
Thanks for all and any replies.

Last Thursday 8/26 our little girl Kayelynn Allison Phillips was born. She was just under 2 months early but had stopped growing at 28 weeks, she had a 4 week lag(wife was at 32 weeks) and she had a better chance outside then in. She came in at 2lbs 5oz but she has her mommas attitude:laugh: She has ben breathing on her own since birth, so far her labs have all come back normal, she is in the NICU at UT hospital in Knoxville. She is going to be my little fishing buddy I hope! Good thing is, most everyone on my wifes side of the family has been fishing for a long time, and I have too, so its in the blood:dancing1::dancing1:

If you guys and gals don't mind to send a few up we could use 'em, still have about 5 weeks or so until the possibility of bringing her home is there. We appreciate it!
